Distilling & Brewing

Our team of experts brings years of experience and cutting-edge methodology to designing state-of-the-art distilleries and breweries. Whether your project is greenfield or an expansion of an existing facility, the team at ICC Turnkey thinks of everything – from refrigeration, flooring, and documentation to health and safety requirements.


Templeton Rye Distillery
Templeton Rye, known as Iowa’s most notorious whiskey, selected ICC Turnkey to provide design-build services for its greenfield distillery in Templeton, Iowa. The new distillery will be able to produce 500,000 Original Proof gallons of whiskey annually and is comprised of 35,000 total square feet. The still room is constructed from 52,000 pounds of copper. Over 9,000 feet of piping will be installed at completion. The distilling process will be able to accommodate 229,000 gallons of process water, stillage and distillate at any one time within the process tanks. Read more about the project here.

Forsyths Cooperation

In 2017, ICC joined with Scotland-based Forsyths Ltd to provide turnkey services to the distilling industry and combine years of expertise in the manufacture and design of distilleries in the UK, Ireland and the US. Through this cooperation, ICC Turnkey and Forsyths offers state-of-the-art equipment and turnkey design/build services in the Americas. Read more about the project here.

Kona Brewing Company

Kona Brewing Company, a top 10 national craft brewery, and Hawaii’s #1 local craft brewery selected ICC Turnkey to provide engineering, design and build services for its greenfield brewery in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. The project, which is valued at approximately $23 million, will give Kona the ability to brew up to 100k barrels per year. Read more about the project here.

Major American Beer Company

ICC’s 29-year relationship with a major American beer company began in 1988 and continues to produce an average of 35 engineering projects every year and generates an estimated $30 million in annual savings. Every day of the year several ICC employees assist the major American beer company with engineering expertise on-site at some of its 8 breweries in the US. Learn more about the project here.

Major American Food Manufacturer

ICC worked closely with a major food manufacturer to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs. ICC’s team of engineers, programmers, and business practice experts identified over $2.4 million in cost reduction opportunities, with a total payback period of nine months. One of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies was looking for engineering solutions that could improve their biotech manufacturing systems by enabling more flexibility, thus increasing productivity.
